I think we have a potty-trained Milo!

Well, I call Milo a "Super Pee-er" because he is doing so well with potty training! He hasn't had an accident for a few days and he told us when he needed to go while out shopping, even though he had on a diaper! I took him to the bathroom and he went, so we're very excited. He even told us when he needed to go at Jesse's parent's house!

I had my one-hour glucose test this morning (one of my doctors said that I should be tested at 17 weeks since I had gestational diabetes with Milo's pregnancy) and PASSED!!! I thought I would fail for sure, but was super excited when my number was fine. I celebrated with a frappe from McDonald's. I know, way to try and overload my body. I will get re-tested at 24-28 weeks like a "normal" pregnancy, and if I fail that test, I'll be fine, that's how long I was on the diet with Milo, I just didn't want to eat like that for over half of my pregnancy.

I had a wonderful Mother's Day, I got new pots and pans! Our other ones were non-stick and the teflon has been bubbling and flaking off, so it was time. We went with "stick" pans (what do you call them when they're not non-stick?) and they are so shiny and beautiful! Milo also painted me a coffee mug. Jesse had him paint it while I had the opportunity to sleep in on Sunday, and when I came downstairs, Milo looked at me and said, "I just paint you a cup!" I wasn't supposed to get it until it was good and dry in the afternoon, he cracks me up.

I also signed Milo up for swimming lessons at the Y today. We'll start with the parent/tot class and see how he does. Poor Milo wanted to go swimming today, he could see the pool while I was getting us registered. We have about a month until the class starts. He also dunks himself in my parent's hot tub, so hopefully he'll do well.

Have a great week, ours is off to a great start!!!

Another Quick Update

Potty training is going well, not perfect, but well! It's been a week since we started and today he willingly pooped on the potty! He also only had one accident today, and he was walking into the bathroom when it happened. He is getting better about telling us when he needs to sit, and that just started yesterday, we've been having to ask him about every 30 minutes if he needed to go. Either way, we're very proud of him and let's hope it keeps happening!

Quick Update

We are in the process of potty training! Today is Day 2 and we have progress! Yesterday was a little difficult, but after nap time he would tell me that he needed to pee and to hurry to the bathroom. We would get there and he wouldn't do anything, but at least he was realizing what needed to happen. This morning, however, I pulled out his little potty chair and he's gone three times already! We've had one accident, but compared to the seven pairs of underwear we went through yesterday morning alone, I'm not complaining! Milo also gets a Dum Dum when he pees on the potty, so he gets pretty excited about it.

Enjoy the rest of the week!

Spring Party and Milo's New Bed

I really need to learn what order to upload the pictures, they seem to go backwards!! Things are going well here, it's been a rainy two days, so it's a good thing Milo has a TON of toys!

Friday was the Mothers & More Spring Party out at Baugo County Park and Milo had a good time. There was a playground, we had a potluck lunch, and an Easter egg hunt. Since all of the kids there were five and under, they were so excited about the eggs and weren't competitive about who got the most.

This is just one of the many group pictures attempted in about a two minute period. I love it because no one is looking at the camera! Milo is the brunette sitting down, looking down. He was munching on a candy bracelet. Jesse realized that this is the way to keep Milo in a kid-group picture-let him eat!

Milo showing us his loot from the egg hunt. He now looks at his basket (still on the counter) and says he wants "eggs" instead of candy. We didn't keep the eggs, that's what funny!

Finding the eggs. Obviously we needed to hide them well because of the age group! :)

Jesse took a half day and came to the party. He and Milo were stringing foam beads, which Milo only put on about five and then took them off. Oh well....

Milo will randomly bring me a blanket and ask to be wrapped up. This is the blanket that I made for him and it is wrapped around his body at least two times! He thinks it's fun.

Our other big news is that Milo is now in a twin bed! He still calls it a "big boy bed" (which is what he called the toddler bed) but absolutely loves it! We were over at Harley and Michelle's just over a week ago and Bella, who is six months younger than Milo, had just gotten her twin bed. I half jokingly asked Milo if he wanted to sleep in a bigger bed and he said yes! Jesse and I honestly thought he was going to say no.

Two days later we had the twin mattress from my parents that used to be mine, pulled the twin bed out of the garage that we've had since last summer, and put on the Handy Manny sheets that Jesse's mom had bought Milo awhile back, and the bed was ready!

Like I said, these aren't in order, so this is Buttercup LOVING Milo's bed. This picture was taken Monday morning (the bed was put together Sunday night) right after Milo got out of bed. She ran in there and made it her own! She takes one nap a day on there, when she never even TRIED to sleep in his crib or the toddler bed.

This is Milo getting on his bed for the first time. He doesn't look amused, but he was so excited! We opted not to get a blanket or comforter yet, he likes to sleep with 2-3 little blankets on him already, and we weren't going to add onto that with summer coming (and he's a hot-body like Jesse).

I'm *fingers crossed* feeling good for two days in a row-no nausea or headaches, so let's hope it's all gone. Now watch, tomorrow I'll get sick...

However, my belly did "pop" on Thursday! I was totally shocked, I don't remember it happening like this with Milo, and definitely not this early. It's not big, but big enough that even my neighbor giggled and put her hand up to her mouth and said, "You're pregnant!" because I actually look it!

We don't have much going on here this week, just the usual stuff like Fun-n-Fitness on Monday.

Have a great week!

Diggies, Diggies, and More Diggies!

Happy Wednesday to you! We have an absolutely beautiful morning going on here in Mishawaka! I can't wait for it to warm up a little so we can go outside and play.

They have been doing some massive construction two blocks down from us so we go and look at the "diggies" almost daily. We will just get home from seeing them and Milo will go ask to see them again! Here are some pictures from yesterday's excursion:

Milo crawling through a cement tube, and loving it!

"Driving" a bulldozer. I never should have let him get up on these, he didn't want to get down and once I did get him down, he wanted to get back up and drive them more.

"Driving" the road roller. He's looking over my shoulder right now and saying, "Milo go drive road roller, go look at diggies some more."

Balancing on the forks. He even walked on them like a balance beam! Fun-n-Fitness must be doing some good!!! After I took this picture he went to the other fork and said, "Take picture on this one, too?" and of course I did....

A few weeks ago we were outside during our afternoon snack and I was letting him have mini Nilla Wafers with some frosting on them. I went in the house for something to come back out and see that Milo had helped himself. Of course there was more frosting than cookie, but he was so proud of himself that I let him do two more. He's too cute for his own good!

I am 13.5 weeks along and am ready for the morning sickness and headaches to be gone! I was doing better for about two weeks and then this last week it's escalated. :( With Milo it ended at 14 weeks, so my hopes are high! My next appointment is this coming Monday, so I will try and post something after that.

Have a great rest of the week! We are planning on going to a Maple Syrup Festival this weekend, so hopefully we'll get some good pictures from that.

Mostly Easter

We hope everyone had a great Easter, we did! The weather was beautiful and that made for two fun egg hunts!

Milo finding an egg in the strawberry plants at Grandma Jeannie and PawPaw's house. Milo amazed us later in the day when we kept re-hiding the eggs for Kalei and Cei in harder and harder spots. Milo saw Jesse put one up in a tree and kept saying, "Daddy, another one up there!" As Kalei and Cei came running to find some, Milo stood under the tree, tried to reach it, then started shaking the tree to get it to come down! He couldn't shake it hard enough, but we couldn't believe that he figured it out so quickly!

Finding an egg at Grandma Elaine and Grandpa Joe's. At first he didn't want to find the eggs, but he got into it.

Once Milo found his basket (hiding in the ball pit), he decided to use the bowling pin to his the ball...He hasn't done it since, he LOVES to bowl in the house! He even got a strike yesterday!

Searching for his basket under the crib. He also stood in my parent's shower looking for his basket. Wouldn't it have been obvious when he opened the door that it wasn't in there???

Maizie gave up on using the "wand" to get the eggs out of the dye and started using her hand. Awesome! Nice purple hand, Maizie!

Daddy and Milo dying eggs. This was the first one they did and yes, it's orange!

Grandpa Joe and Milo having fun! Today is Grandpa's birthday, Happy Birthday, Grandpa!

We went to opening day to the zoo on Friday and we let Milo feed the carp. He didn't like the lion roaring, but when we got near them one was pacing, which he liked and kept saying that the lion was walking towards him.

Have a great week and enjoy the weather!

Fire Station Visit

This week Milo and I went on a tour of the Clay Fire Station with Mothers & More. Milo was so excited to go, he knew about it five days in advance and would count down the days with me. One funny part was when we were in the kitchen. Captain Jay was telling us about meal time and had one cabinet open. Of course my son goes over and looks in there while the other kids are listening quietly. Milo looks at me and says, "Stuff in there!" I thought it was funny...

Milo helped me sweep the kitchen floor last week. He really made me laugh when I had the video camera on him and he swept under the oven. As I'm typing this he looked at the picture and said, "That's me in the picture!"

One of Jesse's coworkers has been bugging him to come and take this Jeep ever since she found out we were having a boy almost three years ago! He and Milo finally went and got it Monday night and once it was fully charged, Milo isn't too comfortable with how fast it goes. He actually drove it a bit around the yard today, so he'll get used to it.

Here are some of the pictures from the fire station:

The best picture I got of Milo the whole time! He's standing in a fire truck.

Checking out the Command Vehicle, making sure it was in working order.

A little dark but from left to right: Ben, Brady, Lucas, and Milo next to a fire truck.

Milo sitting on the back of a fire truck. Later on I had him stand on the back of it and he turned around, got very excited, pointed and seriously squealed, "Another fire truck!" I think that's what he's looking at in this picture, the big ladder truck in front of him.

Enjoy the rest of the week!
